WEAPONS MOD FOR USER ADD-ONS V1.2
===================================

This small mod allows you to install seven types of weapons for any user add-on or the original game which doesn't use TILES015.ART or other different resource archives. This is probably the last update for this version. There are a lot of changes for the revolver weapon and sound fx. The list of changes can be viewed here:


ARSENAL:

- Napalm Launcher from Blood Alpha
- Sawed-off from Blood Alpha (changed characteristics)
- Beast Claws from Blood Alpha (changed characteristics)
- Riot Shotgun from Shadow Warrior (changed characteristics)
- Aerosol from Blood Alpha
- Dynamite (Bundle, Proximity and Remote) from Blood Alpha
- Revolver from Powerslave (changed characteristics)


INSTALLATION:

- Drag WPNMOD12.BAT onto the DOSBox icon to run.
- Select weapons by pressing keys 1 to 7 (toggle).
- Press I to install.
- Have fun!

UPDATES 1.2
============

REVOLVER:

- Deleted 2-nd revolver.
- Added alt fire, akimbo fire animations and updated usual fire animation.
- Inserted sounds in QAV frames for up/down/reload animations.
- Changed fire sounds.
- Added voxel models for weapon and ammo.


BEAST CLAWS:

- Changed up/down animation.
- Slower attack speed.
- Slower idle speed (like Alpha's claws).
- More damage per 1 claw.
- Added attack sound (Beast's like hand-slash).
- Added up/down animation sounds.


RIOT GUN:

- Usual fire now takes 3 ammo and do more damage.
- Alt fire now shoot 6 times (1 ammo for each shot) so reduced ammo loss.
- Added sound for up/down animations.


SAWED-OFF:

- Changed fire/reload speed. Now it's more like Alpha's sawed-off.
- Changed fire sounds to true Alpha sounds (Thanks to the guys of Transfusion for the alpha RFF extractor).
- Some animation tweaks for other weapons.

Not sure what it is, but something is off with the special fire of the shotgun.. it's like when firing it's going a little too straight down.. should go more like the perspective the gun is held in.. (a little to the right and down).. and one frame of the muzzle flash is also not aligned correctly.. the last frame of it kind of jumps up and right a bit. Just small things, but these bugs weren't in the previous version so thought I'd mention it.

If you want to install some of the weapons right away without the installer menu, you only need to include the folder with your map and create a BAT file where you call the correct weapon BAT's from the folder. For example, if you want to install the CLAWS and the RIOTGUN you simply write:

CALL WPNMOD12\CLAWINST
CALL WPNMOD12\RIOTINST

And don't forget to backup TILES015.ART, SOUNDS.RFF and BLOOD.RFF before and restore after you played the game.
So you better copy the part from the menu BAT where it says :INST until :DONE

To be absolutely clear and to prevent confusion;
when I said "you only need the folder with your map" I mean to say "the folder together with your map", it's not that the map should be in the folder of course.
